When the city goes back in time.
July in Bratislava will culminate with an event that is one of the most popular of the year. During the weekend 24-26 July 2026 the capital city will be transformed into a historical Prešporok, to which everyone is invited – residents and visitors alike.
Bratislava Coronation Days 2026 will revive the memory of Maria Theresa, the most important monarch associated with our city. Today, this festival is a celebration of her magnificent coronation, royal heritage and pride in Bratislava’s glorious past.
During the whole weekend the town will come alive with a coronation parade, a knight tournament on the Tyrš embankment and a period fair. The main programme in the streets of the historic centre, commemorating the era of this exceptional monarch, is free to the public.
